Plastilene announced plans to establish a research and development center in Washington Court House to focus on the development of recyclable food packaging that will help food producers reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact. The $47-million facility will create 58 new jobs.
Segezha Group opened an R&D ?entre at its timber cluster in the town of Segezha, Republic of Karelia, Russia. This is the first corporate R&D centre in the Russian pulp and paper industry. R&D ?entre will specialise in the development of efficient, high-tech types of paper packaging. Particular attention will be given to advanced solutions, i.e. packaging with biocoating and embossing, packaging for fresh products and packaging made from recycled materials.
